V. Brewster Jones is the new chairman and chief executive of MyDrugRep Inc., a Newport Beach-based company that provides pharmaceutical information to hospitals, doctors and pharmacists. Company founder Quang X. Pham, who had been MyDrugRep’s chairman and chief executive, moves to executive vice president, corporate development; he remains on the company’s board.
Jones was most recently senior vice president of Shared Medical Systems Corp. of Malvern, Pa., which was acquired by Siemens AG in July 2000. Jones’ background also includes stints as chief executive of Multimedia Medical Systems of Charlottesville, Va., a start-up company in multimedia applications and network services, and PharmaKinetics Laboratories Inc., a Baltimore-based contract pharmaceutical research company.
Jones holds bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the University of Alabama and a master of science degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
