More Ink Awaits OCBJ
And what about the Orange Business Journal? What will it be like in 25 years?
Here’s what Editor Michael Lyster thinks:
Technology will bring dramatic change, impacting how we deliver stories. But contrary to some prognosticators, I believe newsprint will be alive and well in 25 years, though likely alongside digital versions of the OCBJ that will be delivered to computers, handheld devices, kiosks, or, who knows, holographic billboards.
Our coverage stands to be much the same, though the subject matter will shift.
Redevelopment will eclipse new development. The mixed economy we know today likely will be replaced by one dominated by services, corporate headquarters and design operations as manufacturing slowly goes elsewhere.
We know our readers will change along with OC. There will be more Hispanics and women among them. There even could be a digital version of our paper in Spanish.
