Per Oftelie, the 1912 measure raised about $1.3 million (to pave 117 miles of dirt roads), one-hundredth of 1% of the estimated $11.8 billion that will be raised by the M renewal. And the vote total 94 years ago was about 1% of last week’s tally …

Tiffany Haugen, who brought flair and glamour to UC Irvine in the early and mid-1990s as director of a business incubator program, Accelerate, died recently of non-smoker’s lung cancer in Durango, Colo.
