The Hilton Anaheim, the largest hotel in Orange County, is being sold to Newport Beach-based Makar Properties LLC.
Terms of the sale, announced Monday, weren’t available.
Makar developed and runs the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa in Dana Point and is redeveloping the Wyndham Orange County in Costa Mesa to include condominiums at the hotel.
The Hilton Anaheim, next to the Anaheim Convention Center, counts 1,572 rooms, the most in Orange County. The hotel also attracts tourists visiting nearby Disneyland.
Stanwill Cos., headed by Anaheim’s Stan Castleton, had owned the hotel. Castleton developed the St. Regis Resort and Residences at Deer Crest in Park City, Utah.
Makar plans to remodel the hotel by renovating guest rooms, ballrooms, meeting rooms and other areas.
