Local AEA Seeking Nominees for Awards

Orange County technology enthusiasts have until Feb. 21 to nominate their favorite companies for the American Electronic Association’s sixth annual High-Tech Awards on May 18.

The event, designed to highlight the area’s booming tech sector, recognizes winners in several categories, including innovative technology, Internet company (dot-coms and e-commerce), outstanding medical-device company, outstanding public company, outstanding executive, mentor/angel and outstanding software company.

“Orange County has grown immensely in the number of high-tech companies calling this area home, particularly in the dot-com, software and medical-device fields, and there doesn’t seem to be a slowdown in sight,” said Phil Beaudoin, executive director for the group’s Orange County chapter.

The awards ceremony will be May 18 at the Marconi Automotive Museum in Tustin.
