A landslide sent homes crashing down a hill in the Bluebird Canyon section of Laguna Beach early Wednesday.
Some 30 homes were impacted by the slide. At least 15 could be destroyed. More than 300 have been evacuated.
Fire department officials said no deaths or major injuries had occurred as of Wednesday afternoon, according to newspaper and wire service reports.
TV helicopters showed dramatic images of large, expensive homes toppled down the side of the hill near Flamingo Road.
The area slid once before in 1978.
