Lake Forest’s Primoris Lands $13M Parking Contract

Lake Forest-based Primoris Services Corp., the parent company of construction and engineering business ARB Inc., said on Friday it won a $13.1 million contract to build a parking structure in Harbor City.

Primoris said its ARB Structures Inc. subsidiary signed an agreement with Kaiser Foundation Hospitals to design and build a concrete parking structure at Kaiser’s South Bay Medical Center.

Work on the 766-space, five-level structure is scheduled to commence in March and should be completed by the end of 2009.

The deal comes a week after Primoris announced it was awarded two contract extensions worth about $20 million from a local utility, for work on a natural gas pipeline network.

Primoris went public last July after buying about 80% of New York-based blank-check firm Rhapsody Acquisition Corp.

The company counts a recent market value of about $135 million.
