Growing Staton Signs Lease For Bigger Fullerton Warehouse
Apparel distributor Staton Wholesale is moving its operations to a bigger warehouse in Fullerton.
The Dallas-based company, which supplies T-shirts, fleece wear and jackets to screenprinters and embroiders, recently signed a 5.5-year, $2.4 million lease for an 82,400-square-foot warehouse at 2100 E. Valencia Drive.
The company plans to move from a 65,000-square-foot warehouse in Fullerton on July 29.
The distributor has operated from the Fullerton address for more than five years, according to Rick Parker, the company’s vice president of operations. But now the company need more space, he said.
“We’ve increased our California business,” he said.
The company has about 25 employees that will transfer to the new facility.
The Dallas office of The Holt Co. represented Staton in the lease. Voit Commercial Brokerage’s Anaheim office represented the landlord, San Francisco-based Catellus Development Corp.
Staton has four other warehouses, in Memphis, Chicago, Orlando and Dallas.
The company’s main customers are Berkshire Hathaway Inc.’s Fruit of the Loom and Sara Lee Corp.’s Hanes. Others include Anvil Holdings Inc., Gerber Childrenswear Inc. and Eagle Dry Goods Co.
Parker said there are no immediate plans to expand operations at the company’s other warehouses.
