Foundstone Inc., an Irvine network security company, has received a $2.5 million investment from Germany’s Articon-Integralis AG.
Articon-Integralis, which develops security applications, gains a minority stake in Foundstone as a result of the investment. Articon-Integralis counted nearly $50 million in first-half sales.
Activis, the security service business division of Articon-Integralis, plans to sell Europe Foundation’s FoundScan product, which offers companies automated, ongoing network security assessments.
In May, Foundation raised $9 million in funding from new investors Riordan, Lewis & Haden and Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati PC, who joined initial investor OVP Venture Partners.
