Former Plaza de Cafes Tenants Moving to Jamboree Promenade

The Plaza de Cafes is back.

Three popular restaurants from the former food court at Birch Street and Von Karman Avenue in Irvine,New Tokyo, Gyro King and Fernando’s,signed five-year leases last week and are expected to move into the Jamboree Promenade shopping center this fall.

Michael Fiorina, president and COO of Los Angeles-based property management company The Total Companies, represented the landlord, Jamboree Promenade LP, in the deal.

The restaurants will occupy suites 70, 80 and 90 on 2620 Dupont Drive, near Kaplan Educational Centers, which recently signed up to occupy a 15,110-square-foot space at the center.

Kaplan is expected to draw dinner business for the restaurants.

About 12,000 square feet of space remains at the center, Fiorina said. His company is negotiating with three more retail tenants, one of which may be another restaurant.
