Aliso Viejo-based Fluor Corp. has landed a multiyear maintenance pact with the nation’s largest power supplier, the company said Monday.
Fluor is set to provide maintenance services at a coal-fired electric generating plant in Mobile, Ala.
The plant is part of Alabama Power, the second largest subsidiary of Atlanta-based Southern Co.
The company didn’t disclose the dollar amount of the contract, but said the work should employ as many as 350 people.
The contract was booked in Fluor’s first-quarter results.
Fluor said in early May it was moving its headquarters to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to be closer to customers in the Central and Eastern part of the country.
