U.S. blue chip stocks ended a choppy session little changed on Tuesday, after the U.S. Federal Reserve nudged interest rates higher for the eighth straight time, and retained its vow for “measured” increases.
Stocks recouped earlier losses in the final minutes of the session as the Fed revealed it inadvertently omitted a sentence from its formal statement saying longer-term inflation expectations remained well-contained, Reuters reported.
