Abate, 52, now serves as Edwards’ corporate vice president and controller. He’s been with the Irvine-based heart valve maker since its 2000 spinoff from Baxter International Inc.
Abate spent 18 years with Baxter in various finance positions.
Lyle, 45, will oversee Edwards’ manufacturing, quality and information technology operations.
She joined Edwards in 2003 and previously worked at Tularik Inc., a drug discovery company that was eventually sold to Amgen Inc.
