Buy.com, Aliso Viejo, reported revenue of $200.6 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with revenue of $61.5 million for the fourth quarter of 1998. The company,which is private but expected to go public this month,did not report a net profit or loss, but said its cost of sales in the fourth quarter of 1999 was $202 million.
Broadcom Corp., Irvine, posted earnings of $36.9 million on revenue of $160.8 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $8.0 million on revenue of $74.6 million in the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company reported earnings of $83.3 million on revenue of $518.2 million, compared with earnings of $24.6 million on revenue of $216.5 million in 1998.
Powerwave Technologies Inc., Irvine, reported earnings of $8.4 million on revenue of $91.1 million for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 2, compared with a net loss of $7.2 million on revenue of $40.0 million in the previous fourth quarter. For the year, the company posted earnings of $20.3 million on revenue of $292.5 million, compared with a net loss of $3.0 million on revenue of $100.2 million in 1998.
Health Care Property Investors Inc., Newport Beach, reported earnings of $21.6 million on revenue of $71.1 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, compared with earnings of $23.0 million on revenue of $45.1 million for the fourth quarter of 1998. For the year, the company posted earnings of $78.5 million on revenue of $224.8 million, compared with earnings of $78.6 million on revenue of $161.5 million in 1998.
QLogic Corp., Costa Mesa, posted earnings of $15.6 million on revenue of $52.3 million for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 26, compared with earnings of $7.1 million on revenue of $30.3 million in the prior third quarter. For the nine-month period, the company reported earnings of $40.4 million on revenue of $143.0 million, compared with earnings of $17.2 million on revenue of $82.1 million in the prior-year quarter.
