Wet Seal Inc., Foothill Ranch, posted earnings of $3.4 million on sales of $143.2 million for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 29, compared with earnings of $12.2 million on revenue of $145.9 million in the previous fourth quarter. For the fiscal year, the company reported earnings of $14.2 million on sales of $524.4 million, compared with earnings of $26.0 million on sales of $485.4 million in the prior year.
Bridgford Foods Corp., Anaheim, posted net income of $2.4 million on revenue of $40.3 million in the fiscal first quarter ended Jan. 28, compared with net income of $2.6 million on revenue of $36.6 million in the prior first quarter.
SRS Labs Inc., Santa Ana, announced a net loss of $1.7 million on revenues of $35.8 million for calendar 1999, compared with a net loss of $17.6 million on revenue of $44.7 million for 1998. The firm’s announcement did not break out its fourth-quarter figures.
Australia-based Barbeques Galore Ltd., which has its U.S. headquarters in Irvine and trades on the Nasdaq market, reported earnings of $3.3 million on revenue of $37.2 million in the fiscal fourth quarter ended Jan. 31, compared with earnings of $2.4 million on revenue of $33.6 million in the previous fourth quarter. For the fiscal year, the company posted earnings of $4.0 million on revenue of $90.0 million, compared with earnings of $3.2 million on revenue of $81.0 million in the prior year.
