E-Commerce Exchange is starting to go global through a deal the Irvine company made with Planet Payment, a maker of payment processing systems.
Under the agreement, ECX will offer credit-card payment and currency conversion services for small businesses online in Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America. Until now, ECX had been limited to U.S.-based customers.
Eventually, ECX plans to offer the services worldwide.
