DynTek Inc. said Thursday that Steven J. Ross, chairman, chief executive and president of the Irvine-based technology consulting and services company, has resigned to pursue other opportunities.
Ross’ resignation from those posts is effective June 30.
Ross will retain a seat on DynTek’s board of directors through Sept. 30, and continue as a shareholder.
Casper Zublin Jr., chief operating officer of DynTek, will assume the role of chief executive with Robert Webber, chief financial officer, who will assume the role of president.
“We have faced many challenges at DynTek during the past few years,” said Ross in a statement. “I am pleased with our progress, and to have led recent improvements in the company’s business. That said, there are other things I want to pursue both professionally and personally, and I believe that this is the most suitable time to depart DynTek.”
Earlier this month, DynTek reported a net loss of $3.7 million on revenue of $19 million for the quarter ended March 31. That compared to a loss of $1.1 million on revenue of $12.1 million a year earlier.
Shares of DynTek were up two pennies to 42 cents on Thursday.
