Irvine-based DisplayWorks, a trade show and exhibit house that counts the likes of Quiksilver, Broadcom and the Walt Disney Co. among its clients, opened an office in Torrance last week. The 4,100-square-foot facility on Amapola Ave. will serve as a sales and design studio and showroom for modular trade show booths.
Jeff Feltch, president of DisplayWorks, said modular systems are sometimes considered entry-level products.
“They’re ideal for a slower economy,” he said.
Feltch said the Torrance location is a “good business spot” because of its proximity to Los Angeles International Airport and its accessibility to most of the LA basin. The office will be staffed with up to seven sales and support staff.
Though the LA office will focus on ready-to-use modulars, Feltch said all company services will be available to clients through either the Irvine or Torrance offices. DisplayWorks builds custom exhibits at its 205,000-square-foot Irvine headquarters; its CommWorks division assists clients with marketing. The company has about $25 million in annual sales.
