Santa Ana-based college operator Corinthian Colleges is set to open a campus in North Aurora, Ill., by March.
The campus, Olympia College, initially is set to offer diploma programs in medical assisting and insurance billing and coding.
Corinthian already has Olympia College campuses in Burr Ridge, Ill., Chicago, Skokie, Ill., and Merrillville, Ind.
About 400 students are expected to attend the North Aurora campus within two years of its opening.
Olympia College will be the main tenant in about 38,000 square feet of a 77,000-square-foot building.
Officials last year agreed to give the building’s owner, Lombard-based Real Estate Opportunity Corp., $2 million in tax-increment-financing funds to lure the school to the building.
The building needs $2.7 million in upgrades. Corinthian now has 91 colleges in 23 states, and 45 colleges and 15 corporate training centers in Canada.
