Jaguar Cars of North America has found a buyer for the long-delayed South Coast Motorcars, its planned swank dealership in Newport Beach and Mission Viejo, Susan Deemer is told; identity not revealed, except that it’s a big U.K. dealer The board of Coast Community College District has rejected Chapman U’s overture to buy KOCE, the under-capitalized public television station in Huntington Beach. The CCC instead plans a fundraising effort to try to raise the estimated $6 million it needs to upgrade the station to digital standards. This won’t likely end the story. Chapman prez Jim Doti is offering to explore other options more to CCC’s liking; Doti said he’d be receptive to a partnership that would allow CCC to keep the license On a related note, during a recent visit to Harvard, Chapman grad and U.S. Rep.
