Circuit Board Maker Cutting Fullerton Jobs

Park Electrochemical Corp., a Melville, N.Y.-based electronics maker, plans to take a $100,000 December quarter charge for job cuts at its Orange County plant.

The company said the money is going toward worker termination costs at its plant in Fullerton. The company didn’t say how many jobs are being cut.

The Nelco Products Inc. plant near the Riverside (91) Freeway makes circuit boards and other materials.

Eight years ago, Park Electrochemical expanded the Fullerton plant, spending about $50 million on it and another one in New York.

Margaret “Marty” Kendrick has run the Fullerton plant for the past four years. She recently was named president of Neltec, the company’s circuitry materials business in Tempe, Ariz.
