Huntington Beach-based GST Industries is moving from Surf City to Mesa east of Phoenix, citing the cheaper costs of doing business in Arizona.
The loss isn’t big: GST counts about 10 people in Huntington Beach, according to a spokeswoman.
The maker of aerospace products is part of Torrance-based Summa Industries. Most of its production is done elsewhere.
GST makes hydraulic and mechanical components. The company plans to hire about 20 people in Arizona.
