Irvine-based Broadcom Corp. contributed to a $10 million round of funding for venture-backed Broadlight Inc., the company said Thursday.
Mountain View-based Broadlight, which provides software, chips and other gear for telecommunications networks, said Thursday that its fourth financing round was led by Motorola Ventures, the venture arm of Schaumburg, Ill.-based Motorola Inc.
The Irvine-based chipmaker also invested in a past funding round of Broadlight’s.
Broadlight plans to use the funding for sales, marketing and research and development.
Other investors in the latest round included Menlo Park-based Azure Capital Partners LP.
