Fullerton-based Beckman Coulter Inc. said Friday it plans to buy privately held Webster, Texas-based Diagnostic Systems Laboratories Corp.
Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Diagnostic Systems posted revenue of $34 million last year.
Diagnostic Systems designs tests related to heart, gland and hormone issues.
The deal is expected to negatively impact Beckman’s profit until the fourth quarter of 2006. The acquisition is expected to close later this month.
