Fullerton-based Beckman Coulter Inc. on Tuesday named Charles Slacik senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective Oct. 23.
Slacik comes to Beckman, a maker of medical diagnostic equipment and supplies, from Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Corona. He most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Watson.
Slacik replaces James Glover, who became chief financial officer at San Diego-based Anadys Pharmaceuticals Inc. last month.
Slacik had been with Watson since 2003. He’s also served as chief financial officer for C.R. Bard Inc., a Murray Hill, N.J.-based medical device maker.
Slacik “adds exactly the right talent and experience to Beckman Coulter’s leadership team at a time when the company is continuing to grow and expand into new markets, technologies and geographies,” Chief Executive Scott Garrett said in a statement.
