Santa Ana-based Balboa Dessert Co. has been tapped as a private-label supplier to Orlando, Fla.-based Galaxy Nutritional Foods Inc., a maker of soy, dairy-alternative and other health foods.
Under the deal, Balboa will produce versions of its top-selling cakes and other desserts using Galaxy’s health foods.
The products will be sold under the Lite Bakery by Galaxy Nutritional Foods brand.
Balboa Dessert has been making private-label products since 1983. The company produces them at an 18,000-square-foot facility on East Wilshire Avenue in Santa Ana.
