Irvine-based online auto marketer Autobytel Inc. is set to get $20 million as part of a settled lawsuit with Dealix Corp. of Redwood City.
Autobytel is set to get $12 million of the settlment in coming months and then the rest in payments of $2.7 million during the next three years.
The company sued rival Dealix in 2004, alleging infringement of an Autobytel patent for matching auto shoppers with dealers online.
The settlement includes a patent licensing deal between Autobytel and Dealix.
