Aliso Viejo’s Pacifica Hotels Announces New President

Hospitality Veteran Scott Roby to Oversee Entire Portfolio and Operations

Pacifica Hotels, an independent owner and operator of boutique hotels on the West Coast, announced hospitality veteran Scott Roby as its new president. Roby was appointed to oversee Pacifica’s entire portfolio and operations.

Roby is a Southern California native who founded and served as principal of Storyteller Hospitality. The firm provides advisory and consulting services to hospitality companies. He previously served as co-founder and operations executive for lifestyle hotel operator Evolution hospitality.

Other career stops for Roby included a management platform spin-off for Tarsadia Hotels, KSL Resorts, La Costa Resort and Spa, and Hilton Hotels. Roby graduated from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration.

Roby succeeds Adam Marquis, who served as Pacifica’s president since 2019.

Pacifica Hotels was formed in 1993 and is based in Aliso Viejo. Its current portfolio features 34 properties in California and Hawaii, including Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel in Newport Beach, Residence Inn Anaheim Hills Yorba Linda, Riviera Beach House in Santa Barbara, The Wayfarer Solo in San Luis Obispo and King Kamehameha Kina Beach Resort.
