Vizio Technology Chief to Resign

Vizio Holding Corp. (NYSE: VZIO) said Chief Technology Officer Bill Baxter plans to step away from his post at the Irvine company.

The TV maker and media company said in a regulatory filing Baxter provided his resignation notice Oct. 4 and will leave at the end of an unspecified transition period. Baxter remains in the CTO position and is expected to help with the search for a new technology chief.

Baxter has been with the company for nearly seven years and was appointed CTO in 2018. He started off at Vizio as vice president of engineering for software and services.

Vizio shares closed down 2.2% to $20.81 on Friday for a market cap of $3.8 billion.
