St. John Knits Looks for New CEO

Geoffroy van Raemdonck will step down as chief executive of Irvine-based high-end knitwear maker St. John Knits International Inc., according to California Apparel News.

Executive Chairman Bernd Beetz will take over on an interim basis when van Raemdonck leaves Nov. 6. Beetz was appointed chairman in July 2013, shortly after he acquired a stake in the company, which had an estimated $325 million in sales last year. His previous roles include head of global beauty products company Coty Inc., and a post as an executive of Cincinnati-based Proctor & Gamble Co.

Van Raemdonck also came to St. John Knits in July 2013 after serving as president of Louis Vuitton’s South Europe region. He replaced Glenn McMahon, who stepped down as chief executive after a six-year

run.
