Mullen Automotive Inc. (Nasdaq: MULN) said it signed an agreement with Amazon Delivery Services partner DelPack Logistics LLC (DPL) to deliver up to 600 Class EV 2 cargo vans over the next 18 months.
The Brea-based electric vehicle maker will deliver DPL’s first 300 vehicles by the end of November.
Mullen EV cargo vans will carry a minimum of an 80 kWh battery pack. By comparison, the Ford 2022 E-Transit EV cargo van battery pack carries 67 kWh.
“This agreement is a milestone for Mullen Automotive,” said David Michery, CEO and chairman of Mullen Automotive. “[It] puts our … cargo van program front and center for last mile delivery opportunities.”
Shares for Mullen yesterday were down 11% at $1.22 apiece and a roughly $585 million market cap.
