Golden State Foods Names Brian Dick as CEO

Promotes 3 other executives for strategic succession plans

Irvine-based Golden State Foods, one of the nation’s largest food suppliers to chain restaurants, promoted President Brian Dick as its new chief executive, replacing long-time CEO Mark Wetterau who passed away in May.

The company also promoted John Page to executive vice president and chief administrative officer; Brad Tingey to corporate senior vice president and chief financial officer; and Stephen Wetterau to corporate senior vice president, strategy, technology and innovation.

“These executive leadership changes will help Golden State Foods best support our customers and enable the continued growth of our company and our people, as we pursue strategic succession plans to optimize the deep expertise and proven capabilities of our senior leadership team,” said Conrad Wetterau, chairman of GSF’s board of directors.

A native of Northern Ireland, Dick joined GSF in 1999 as the business development manager for GSF Egypt and earned numerous promotions, including his most recent position as president and chief operating officer.

Dick will add responsibilities such as strategic planning and financial goals to his role in addition to continuing to oversee all global operations, including food manufacturing, logistics and administrative groups.

GSF and its family of companies currently service more than 200 brands with 125,000 restaurants or stores in more than 50 countries. Its core businesses include manufacturing liquid products, protein, produce, dairy/aseptic, and providing distribution services. The company, which employs approximately 6,000 and is management-owned and run, says it feeds 1 billion people every day.
