Corporate transactions lawyer David Lee has joined global law firm Jones Day’s as a partner at its Irvine office.
Lee is joining the firm’s corporate practice, which includes M&A and private equity.
“David has advised sophisticated corporations, private equity firms and venture capital funds on their strategic investments and acquisitions throughout the investment lifecycle,” Andy Levine, co-chair of Jones Day’s corporate practice, said in a statement.
Prior to today’s announcement, Lee was most recently a partner in the corporate practice at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP’s Orange County office.
Before becoming a lawyer, Lee served as a CPA in the audit and valuations departments of Big Four accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers and as vice president of finance at Fortune 500 energy company AES Corp.
Lee also served as a judge for the Business Journal’s General Counsel program.
