Irvine’s DisplayWorks, one of the county’s largest makers of tradeshow exhibits, is being sold by Britain’s Mice Group PLC to a private equity firm.
Terms of the deal, set to close by Jan. 31, weren’t disclosed.
Maryland’s JPB Enterprises Inc. acquired DisplayWorks from Mice.
DisplayWorks is part of a group of tradeshow exhibit companies in Orange County. Others include Hillsboro, Ore.-based Pinnacle Exhibits LLC, which has operations in Irvine, Premier Displays & Exhibits Inc. of Cypress and Freddie Georges Production Group in La Palma.
The companies build elaborate tradeshow displays for automakers, electronics companies, clothing designers and others.
Mice Group acquired DisplayWorks in 2002 along with another company for about $7 million.
