Accounting

Ernst & Young promoted Sarah J. (Sally) Anderson to managing partner at its Irvine office. Anderson was most recently a managing partner of the firm’s Riverside office.


Advertising

Louis Leos was named graphic designer at Lawrence, Mayo & Ponder of Newport Beach. Leos came to the agency from the Tait family of companies in Santa Ana.

Strategies, Costa Mesa, added four account assistants to its public relations group: Maria Garza, Andrea Margules, Vanessa Riggle and Jaime Untz.

Newport Beach-based Point B Inc. added Mernie Caro as an account coordinator. Prior to joining Point B, Caro was an account coordinator at Laer Pearce & Associates.

Shafer, Irvine, added Chung-Mau Cheng as art director. Cheng joined Shafer after three years of experience in art direction at agencies in Dallas and Phoenix.


Architecture

Mark Garrity joined Forma, Irvine, as a director and landscape architect. Garrity brings the firm 15 years of industry experience in community, golf course and hotel/resort landscape architectural design.

Bloodgood Sharp Buster Architects and Planners Inc., Irvine, named Mark W. Kiner associate. Kiner previously spent 16 years as a principal of the Newport Beach-based design firm, RNM Architects and Planners.

Dick Kerzic joined Irvine-based GKKHealthcare as principal. The architect has spent his 30-year career planning, designing and providing pre-construction and construction management services for healthcare facilities. In addition, after a decade with Brown & Root Corp., Juan Caldentey joined GKK Corp. as program director.


Banking/Finance

Bruce N. Canetti, former Principal Financial Group general manager, joined Newport Beach-based Tax and Financial Group, a financial planning and investment advisory firm.

Phil Andrews joined Sunwest Bank as vice president and manager of its Anaheim office. The 20-year industry veteran was previously affiliated with Orange National Bank and Pacific Business Bank in Orange.


Biomedical

Irvine-based medical device company, Micro Therapeutics Inc., promoted John B. Rush from executive vice president of marketing and sales to chief operating officer. Micro Therapeutics develops, manufactures and markets minimally invasive devices for the diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease.


Business Services

James F. Kerins was promoted to vice president of the Miriam Tate Company in Costa Mesa, a consulting firm specializing in exterior color and materials specifications for residential, commercial and masterplanned environments.

Arthur Andersen, Irvine, promoted Gregory D. Goodman, Richard A. Howard, and Michael S. McClure to partners of the financial services firm. Steven E. Blair was named principal of the firm’s global portfolio services unit and Katherine P. Snodgrass was named principal in business process outsourcing.

Greg Gotthardt was named partner in the real estate capital markets group of Ernst & Young’s real estate advisory services practice. A resident of Tarzana, Gotthardt oversees the firm’s Century City and Irvine offices.

Lori Sherwood joined the Costa Mesa and Los Angeles offices of IA as the director of business development for the firm. She formerly was architectural and design market manager for the Los Angeles region of Haworth Inc.
