ARCHITECTURE

McLarand, Vasquez, Emsiek & Partners Inc. of Irvine promoted four architects to principals: Darin Schoolmeester, Jim Mittendorf, Jeff Larsen and Chek-Fong Tang.

BANKING

Rancho Santa Margarita-based South County Bank promoted Patty Voelz to business development officer/personal banker.

CONSTRUCTION

St. Louis-based McCarthy Building Cos. hired Brent Newby as preconstruction director and James Sirls as estimator.

Both will work out of the company’s

Southern California division in Newport Beach.

FITNESS

Costa Mesa-based Lindora Inc., a provider of weight loss programs, named Gary Kipnis senior vice president and chief information officer. Carol Geffner was added to the newly created position of chief administration officer.

LAW

Newmeyer & Dillion LLP in Newport Beach added Jennifer J. Tice as of counsel and Joshua B. Vinograd as an associate. Tice comes from Allen & Kimbell LLP in Santa Barbara, where she practiced real estate and business law. Vinograd previously was with Los Angeles-based Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.

MANAGEMENT CONSULTING

Laguna Hills-based CBH Consultants Inc. hired Carrie Doty as practice manager. Doty has had her own consulting practice since 1995 and most recently was project manager at the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

NONPROFIT

Regional Center of Orange County, a Santa Ana-based nonprofit that coordinates services for people with developmental disabilities, elected three members to its board: Lore Flavell, Nguyen Luu-Trong and Joan McKinney.

REAL ESTATE

Nationwide Health Properties Inc., a Newport Beach-based real estate investment trust, promoted Donald D. Bradley to senior vice president and chief investment officer.

The Irvine Company of Newport Beach made two promotions: Kathleen Freed was named senior vice president, corporate communications, and Leslie Corea was promoted to the position of senior vice president, finance and administration. Both Freed and Corea have been with the company since 2000.

Tustin-based real estate services provider Coreland Cos. hired Fred Godinez as a leasing/sales associate at its brokerage unit. Godinez most recently was a vice president with NAI Capital Commercial in Newport Beach.

Beazer Homes Southern California, the Orange-based unit of Atlanta’s Beazer Homes USA Inc., appointed Samantha Unger as land acquisitions manager. The company also promoted Jim Griffin to area construction manager in its local division. Griffin has been with Beazer since 1995.

RESTAURANTS

Kevin Gilbert was named executive chef of Maggiano’s Little Italy in Costa Mesa.

RETAIL

Henry’s Farmers Market, part of Boulder, Colo.-based Wild Oats Markets Inc., named Gary Dolman store director at its Fullerton store, which opened earlier this month.

TECHNOLOGY

Irvine-based Accutrac Software Inc. named Cindy Gagnier vice president of sales. Gagnier brings more than 10 years of sales experience and most recently was with Stratford, Conn.-based Dictaphone Corp.

Irvine-based memory products maker NetList Inc. named two new members to its board: David Rickey, chief executive of Applied Micro Circuits Corp. in San Diego, and Preston Romm, chief financial officer of Dot Hill Systems Corp., also of San Diego.

Buena Park-based Information Technology Resources Inc. made two new hires: Duane Varnum joined as head of managed services, business development, and Cyndy Cservenyak was hired as account executive, managed services.

TOURISM

Monica R. Smith was named corporate sales manager for the Newport Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau. Smith most recently held the position of senior sales manager with InterContinental Hotels in Cleveland.
