BANKING

Rick Warren, Marion Surichaqui and Morgan Ferris joined IndyMac Bank’s Irvine office. Warren became senior vice president. He recently was managing director at EverBank Commercial Lending. Surichaqui and Ferris are first vice presidents. Prior to IndyMac, Surichaqui was first vice president, regional sales manager, with Washington Mutual Inc.’s apartment lending division. Previously, Ferris was senior vice president, income property lending, at Commercial Capital Bank, which was bought by Washington Mutual last year. Rick Carpenter was named senior loan director for IndyMac’s new commercial real estate group. Carpenter will lead the group’s operations, including processing, closing and underwriting. He spent the past five years as vice president of income property lending for First Federal Bank of California.


CONSULTING

Cody Slach joined ICCS Partners as an associate. The company specializes in strategic planning, operational restructuring and business development. Previously, Slach was an analyst in the corporate finance department at TRC Solutions Inc.


INSURANCE

Costello & Sons Insurance in Irvine hired Andrew “Tex” Re as a personal insurance specialist. Prior to insurance sales, Re was a media planner and buyer for an advertising agency.


LAW

Edward S. Chang joined the Costa Mesa office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP as an associate. Prior to joining Pillsbury Winthrop, Chang was an associate at Dewey, Ballantine LLP practicing in the areas of antitrust, intellectual property, corporate governance, insurance and securities.


NONPROFIT

Robert Corbin was elected as a board member at Habitat for Humanity of Orange County. Corbin is a partner at Windes & McClaughry Accountancy Corp. in Irvine. He previously volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club and the American Red Cross.

April Rudge joined Healthy Smiles for Kids of Orange County as community relations manager. Healthy Smiles aims to improve the dental health of children in OC. Previously, Rudge worked as the outreach and volunteer services director at a regional nonprofit based in Austin, Texas.


MARKETING

Saretta Holler joined Kettley Publishing Co. in Newport Beach as its marketing communications manager. Holler will be responsible for marketing and media relations. She recently owned a small creative services firm in San Diego that specialized in marketing and public relations.


REAL ESTATE

James B. Hogan was named senior vice president and general manager of HRP Studios, a new division of ValleyCrest Cos. of Calabasas. Hogan will work out of the Santa Ana office. Hogan started the Landscape Architecture Foundation Class Fund and is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Society of Landscape Architecture.

Grubb & Ellis Co. in Newport Beach named David T. Girty senior vice president with the office group. Girty has 19 years of experience in commercial real estate. For the past six years he was senior vice president at Transwestern Com-mercial Services.

R.M. Crowe Holding LP hired John Packer as regional partner at its new Newport Beach office. Packer will focus on property acquisitions and development in the Western U.S. He recently worked for Broe Cos. and worked for 20 years in the real estate department at Pacific Life Insurance Co.

Jeff Patty joined the Irvine office of land brokerage O’Donnell/Atkins as an associate. His work focuses on infill and masterplanned community projects in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

Fred Godinez and Brian Wegener were hired as leasing and sales associates at Coreland Cos. in Tustin. Godinez returns to Coreland after a brief relocation out of state in 2006. He was an associate on the leasing and sales team since 2004. Wegener worked at Hopkins Real Estate Group where he assisted the development manager with regional retail projects.

KBS Realty Advisors named Lori Lewis executive vice president, director of portfolio operations. Before her promotion, Lewis was senior vice president at the company’s Newport Beach office. She has 21 years of real estate experience and is directly responsible for arranging financing and managing portfolio operations.

Professional Community Management of California Inc. hired Cynthia Chavez as recruiter coordinator. In her new role she will recruit, evaluate and train new employees. Chavez is a graduate of the University of San Diego and will work in the company’s Lake Forest headquarters.


TECHNOLOGY

Concept Development Inc. named Martin Bock vice president of sales and marketing. Bock recently was vice president of business development for Avid Technology Inc. and president of Medea Corp. and Storage Concepts.
