Apria Healthcare Group Inc., a Lake Forest-based home healthcare company, on Monday named Chris Karkenny as chief financial officer, effective Nov. 13.
Karkenny most recently was senior vice president of corporate development and treasury operations for PacifiCare Health Systems, a Cypress-based unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc.
Karkenny had been with PacifiCare since 2003. He’s also served as chief executive of NetCatalyst Inc., a Santa Monica-based investment bank.
Karkenny succeeds Amin Khalifa, who resigned in August to take the CFO job at Leap Wireless International Inc. in San Diego. Alicia Price, Apria’s controller, had served as interim CFO.
