TRENDS AFFECTING HEALTH AND HUMAN RESOURCES NEEDS IN ORANGE COUNTY

Findings from Phase II of Community Assessment Report by Orange County’s United Way and Academic Resources Team

By 2010, the population of adults older than 60 will increase by 36%; the population of children 10 to 17 will increase by 95,000 by the same year. People with disabilities total 19% of the county’s population, while 18% are smokers. More than 335,000 OC residents,about 12% of the population,do not have health insurance.
