Santa Monica-based National Golf Properties Inc. has paid $12.5 million for San Juan Capistrano’s Marbella Country Club, an 18-hole private golf course.
National Golf plans to lease Marbella to Santa Monica-based American Golf Corp. for an annual base rent valued at 11% of its investment in Marbella
Marbella Country Club was developed in 1987 by Fairway Land Co. along with golf professional Tom Weiskopf and architect Jay Morrish. The site also includes tennis courts, a pool, fitness center and a Mediterranean-style clubhouse.
