Delta Air Lines outlined plans on Tuesday to reduce its technical operations staff by from 1,600 to 2,000 employees as the carrier continues to cut costs throughout the company. The Atlanta-based airline also said in its 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it plans to have Avborne and Air Canada Technical Services perform heavy maintenance work on some of its jets, according to MarketWatch.
