Orange County’s coronavirus figures continue to trend down on a weekly basis.
Wednesday marked the third day in a row that the trailing seven days represented a decrease in new cases over the preceding week.
In the past week, there have been 53 new cases each day on average, down from the 58 cases per day for the week ending April 8.
There were 87 new cases reported Wednesday, bringing OC’s total to 1,380, and three new deaths, bringing the local total to 22.
Nationally, there have been nearly 28,000 deaths; the Orange County per capita death rate is less than one-tenth of the national rate.
