Fountain Valley-based MemorialCare Health System said that its Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach is now known as Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.
Hospital officials said the name was changed to better reflect the type of care Miller provides. The hospital provides perinatal care for expectant mothers and handles high-risk pregnancies in addition to pediatrics.
MemorialCare’s other hospitals include Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, with campuses in Laguna Hills and San Clemente. The system also operates clinics, doctors’ groups and Seaside Health Plan.
