Midday Stock Roundup

Major U.S. stock indexes rose in Monday midday trading with technology companies leading gains.

The Nasdaq jumped 1.6% to 13,430.73, while the S&P 500 increased 0.8% to 3,945.58.


The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 0.3% to 32,710.20.
Crude oil fell 0.4% to $61.17.


Gold declined 0.2% to 1,738.40.


The yield on a 10-year Treasury dropped 3.2% to 1.677%.


MEDICAL DEVICES
Shares are trending up for Orange County medical device makers, led by Irvine-based Axonics Modulation Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: AXNX) which rose 4.4% to $59.67 and a $2.5 billion market cap. Shares for the provider of urology devices are up more than 20% since the start of the year.


Masimo Corp. (Nasdaq: MASI) in Irvine rose 3.7% to $228.48 a share with a $12.6 billion market cap. Shares are still off about 9% in the past month.


Inari Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: NARI) increased 3.3% to $111.80 and a $5.5 billion market cap. Shares of the maker of devices to remove blood clots have climbed 25% in the past two weeks.
