Fountain Valley-based MemorialCare Health System said it was one of 27 employers worldwide who received a “great workplace” award from The Gallup Organization, and the only honoree that is based in California.
Gallup said its award honors organizations that demonstrate they have productive and engaged work forces.
Award winners represent a variety of businesses, including those in manufacturing, retail, banking and other industries.
MemorialCare operates three hospitals in Orange County—Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center in Fountain Valley and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center, with campuses in Laguna Hills and San Clemente. It has six hospitals overall, with more than 11,000 workers and 2,500 affiliated doctors.
