Masimo Guidance Above Expectations

Irvine-based medical device maker Masimo Corp. today gave 2012 fiscal guidance and reported fourth-quarter results that exceeded analyst expectations on revenue and met projections for profits.

The company said it expects a full-year profit of $72.2 million, compared with analyst expectations of $71.6 million.

Masimo said it expects 2012 revenue of $483 million.

Wall Street had forecast $480.9 million.

Masimo earned $13.8 million in the fourth quarter, down 14% from a year earlier and in line with analyst expectations.

Revenue rose 6% to $112.3 million for the quarter, above Wall Street projections of $110.3 million.
