Newport Beach-based Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian has been certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center by Milford, Ohio-based DNV GL Healthcare USA Inc.
Hoag said it’s the second DNV GL certified hospital in California and the first hospital in Orange County to receive the accreditation.
Comprehensive stroke centers represent the most advanced stroke treatment available in a given geographic area, according to DNV GL Healthcare USA.
Hoag Neurosciences Institute’s Stroke Program, a member of the St. Joseph Hoag Health alliance, ranks among the top 5% in the nation, according to Denver-Colo.-based Healthgrades.
