Ensign Buys Nursing Home in Nevada

Mission Viejo-based Ensign Group Inc. said today that it bought Rosewood Rehabilitation Center, a nursing home in Reno, Nev. A purchase price wasn’t disclosed.

Rosewood has 99 beds and is 69% occupied. It will be operated by Ensign’s Northern Pioneer Healthcare subsidiary, Ensign said in a statement.

The Rosewood deal gives Ensign a total of 101 healthcare facilities, mainly nursing homes, along with three hospice operations and four home healthcare businesses in 10 states. Late last week, Ensign said that it bought Homecare Solutions, a home health agency based in Denver, for an undisclosed amount.
