Altura Medical Inc., a San Clemente device maker, named G. Ray Martin as its chief executive.
Martin was previously president and chief executive of Mountain View-based NovoStent Corp. He earlier served as vice president of business development for Natick, Mass.-based Boston Scientific Corp.
Altura is developing devices to treat ballooning blood vessels near the heart, or abdominal aortic aneurysms. The company just raised $6 million in a round of venture capital financing that was disclosed in a regulatory filing.
