CalOptima board member Richard Sanchez will be interim CEO of the healthcare provider, effective Monday, April 6.
He’s been on the board for three years and was previously a director with the Orange County Health Care Agency; the HCA is currently involved in local oversight and data collection on the coronavirus.
Sanchez succeeds Michael Schrader who had been with CalOptima for seven years; Schrader’s new role is with a CalOptima-affiliated group in Northern California.
Orange-based CalOptima provides healthcare to low-income individuals and families.
